"Our Town"

Richard worked on a play this week at his school's Black Box Theatre: Our Town by Thornton Wilder. I went to the closing performance on Saturday May 5th.

The program (or playbill) is pictured above. Sorry that it is difficult to see. For some reason, all the programs for the Black Box shows are very poor B&W copies where the graphic is virtually impossible to see. Guess they haven't heard of Kinko's.

Richard is credited in the program as "Lighting Ops." For Saturday's performance, he was the only lighting person and operated the lighting board. Part of his duties for the play are to hang the lights, work with the director to determine what type of lights, and the lighting cues (on/off, intensity, colors, etc.).

While I was prepared for a depressing play (the previous one I attended was a real downer), this one I found engaging and thoughtful. In the end (no pun intended), I rather enjoyed it.
